Nothing in my work is idealized. It is there because it fits or because I’m compelled to make it fit.
Sometimes clarity is fortuitously attained and I immediately try to break it, squander it, hide it, or nullify it with something obscure. The more articulation there is, the more I attempt to push it into abstraction. It’s hard to kill it altogether. This is my way to obtain coherence.
Perhaps my work is art after all.
